He’s here! After months of waiting and a week after his due date, Micah was born to proud parents, Heather and Matt. If you follow my blog, you might remember the gorgeous mom-to-be in this shoot from January. Fast forward a couple months and now little Micah is finally here and I had the pleasure of getting to take some of his very first portraits!
Upon arrival to Heather and Matt’s San Francisco apartment, I was delighted to see Micah’s darling nursery. Heather designed the cutest room for Micah and I couldn’t help but document all the little details! I was loving the southwestern rug, mixed with pops of feathers and metal arrows. The navy blue, white and accents of brown all work perfectly together for this little guy’s nursery. Scroll down to see it all for some inspiration!
Now to the main event. Micah was content in mom and dad’s arms, but he definitely was not sleepy! He was fed, diaper changed and all ready for nap time, but he had other plans. So we changed up the MO a little and simply grabbed shots of mother and child and daddy with baby. It really was so precious to see the new family of three (or four if we count their fur baby Birdie)! Documenting this time in the life of brand new parents is really such a treat and an honor. The moments are so fleeting and in the present, a new mom and dad may feel burned out or overwhelmed, which is why capturing these moments in photos are so important. They serve as a keepsake and lasting imprint of those first days; something I think is so special. Thanks Heather and Matt for allowing me into your home and letting me photograph these memories for you! So without further ado, I present the teeny tiny, truly adorable sweet baby Micah!
